Talia Preston was your normal teenage country girl. That was until her world began to fall apart just when she thought life was going to get better. After all she left the past behind, new city, new world, new life and even her first real boyfriend. Yup, Talia felt like she could walk on clouds.
But then what goes up, must come down right? And it did…… her perfect seeming life was ripped in two by a monster. As Talia continues to struggle to pull through each day, she wondered if things would ever get better?
Will Talia ever find the love she has longed for since the passing of her mother? Or will she continue to fall into the Empty Spaces of her shattered world?

This was a hard book for me to get into. Not because it was poorly written, but because of the emotional damning section in the beginning. However, I know for a fact that things like this happen. But that knowledge did not make reading it any easier.
The regression of the character through life was hard. Talia tried to cope after the interference of her friend saved her. She found ways that I myself am familiar with and some that I was tempted yet didn’t use.
Taleigh is a new author and I read this book because she’s indie and trying to achieve her dreams. I love helping. When she approached me to read I was caught on the blurb. Though, I really had no idea what to expect.
The emotions the author was able to pull out through the pages as I read… I can’t count how many nails I chewed, the tears that fell, the laughter, the anger, the disgust… I think I rolled through every emotion out there.
If you suffered from abuse in your life (or are suffering) I’d recommend approaching with caution. Notice I’m not saying to not read it. I think it could do some good to see it from someone who has obviously suffered themselves. Knowing you aren’t alone in your struggles (invisible struggles is what I call it) may help you allow yourself to heal.
