REVIEW:

This is the first book that I’ve read by this author. It definitely will NOT be the last either. This is the first book of her UNNATURAL ALLIANCES series.  Though, this one is more of a novella, I liked that it started out this way. A shorter read to get you into the characters that you are going to be following throughout the series. It also allows the background to come into play without really bogging down the story’s progress.

I have to say I was intrigued by this read. There were so many way the author could have taken this and surprised me with the way she did. The characters are unique and easy to relate to.

Helen, for instance, found herself in a job she really didn’t like just to be close to a job she did like, that she found interesting. Her day to day life was much the same. She fought with the receptionist to actually listen and do her job to trying to keep her boss on track. One could even be brought to say that she really ran the museum and they wouldn’t be wrong.

However, she’s on overload at the start of the story. First, there’s the annual gala for donations to keep the museum up and going. Then some very strange and VERY rare relics were found. Everyone is interested and her receptionist can’t get the picture on not to send reporters through.

But as if all that wasn’t enough, then there’s the fact that she’s got to take a man that she’s sure is so full of himself to view the relics before anyone else has ever laid eyes on them before. What she hadn’t expected was the man to be Rune, a mysterious – not to mention completely, unresistably sexy – man.

But thanks to her boss trying to use her to secure more funds for them, she finds her life upturned and all that she thought mythical or made up, just very well may have been shown to be the opposite.

Helen is left with a choice. Believe what her eyes and heart tell her or listen to logic and reason.

There is also one character I find intriguing and I can’t wait to see how he plays out in this series is Benji. I think I like him. I think I like him a lot LOL.

Pick this book up today. It’s a FREE, quick, read and you really won’t be disappointed.
